Current setup: Everalonia does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one local preference so the cookie notice remembers your choice.
1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small pieces of data a website asks a browser to store. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps a value on your device until it is deleted. The current Everalonia build uses local storage rather than a traditional cookie. The New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner provides a useful plain-language explanation of cookies.
2. Storage we currently use
This preference is functional only. It is not used to recognise you across other websites, measure gameplay, target advertisements or create a profile.
3. Analytics and advertising
We do not currently load an analytics tag or advertising network. If that changes, optional tracking will be disabled unless and until the appropriate choice is made. This page will be updated with provider names, purposes, retention periods and controls before such technology is enabled.
4. External game sites
The catalogue and review pages contain ordinary links to official third-party game sites. Everalonia does not place their cookies on your device merely because a link is displayed. If you follow a link, the destination may set its own cookies or local storage under its own policy. It may use accounts, advertising, anti-cheat, analytics or in-game purchase systems that Everalonia does not control.
5. Managing your choice
You can clear everalonia-cookie-choice through your browser’s site-data or local-storage controls. The notice will appear again on your next visit. Blocking all site storage will not prevent you from reading reviews, but the notice may be shown repeatedly. Browser help pages usually place these controls under Privacy, Site Data, Cookies or Developer Tools.
6. Do Not Track
Because Everalonia does not currently operate analytics or behavioural advertising, there is no tracking process to alter in response to a Do Not Track signal. External game sites may handle the signal differently.
